Today we did the Autogenic Relaxation Exercise in class. We then recorded our own voice reciting your favorite relaxation technique. By class on Friday you need to have done 5 minutes of the Breath Control on your own. By Monday you need to listen to your relaxation recording.

Today we learned about Intensity. We looked at a short ppt and then watched the movie Prefontaine, looking for specific examples of intensity or the ways to improve intensity. If you missed class, then during intervention next week I will be showing the movie for make-up.

To we learned about motivational diseases. In groups we created skits to perform to explain each disease, took a quiz, and then created a 'patient' profile of an athlete with one of the diseases and diagnosed a classmates' patient. If absent, complete the Motivational Disease Assignment.

Today we created our own goal tracking sheet specific to the goals we set for ourselves and some sort of visual reminder to help us stay on track. See goal tracking rubric for instructions/requirements.

Today we started unit 3 on motivation. We learned about the differences between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. We also learned about goal setting and starting making our own goals. Look at Motivation ppt. and see goal handout.

Today we finished our ping pong tournament and started working on the unit write up. You need to turn in an explanation of the 5 skills from unit 2 that you used in the tournament.
